Royal London children Hospital wow concept

Here’s a great example of technology put to good use at the Royal London Children’s Hospital: patients now have an interactive playground featuring a giant screen that the children can engage with. The surrounding soft toys are integrated into an interactive game, so that the children can play with both the physical and digital versions.
The interactive game, Woodland Wiggle, allows kids to paint pictures and play music with their body movements.
The creators have designed the game to include the movements that would be the most therapeutic for the children. Artist and creator Chris Oshea took into account the wide ranging patient-types to include healthy kids to those with special needs. It’s great to see that technology can be used in this way to enhance the therapeutic benefits of play.

My wow concept: Size you

Alexander Norling & Sara Uhelski, Miami AD School students have created ‘Size You’.
This application will automatically check your perfect clothing size on any online store, so you never have to return something you bought online again!

The concept is  very simple and convenient,  You have just to measure yourself once, enter the details on the Bookmarklet site, drag it into your browser bar and then where ever you shop, on the item page, just hit the ‘SizeYou’ Bookmarklet and it will match that items measurements against yours, to tell you the perfect size to buy.

Advantages: easy to use, very convenient and good for the environment: avoiding waste and CO2 emissions.

My WOW Peninsula concept

 http://www.tendancehotellerie.fr/articles-breves/chambre-equipement/3129-article/peninsula-lance-la-chambre-d-hotel-la-plus-personnalisee-au-monde

Peninsula, It is the only hotel company  which launches the hotel room the most personalized of the world. Indeed, The rooms have a new intuitive technology, as a supplement to their style and to their elegance. Personalized interactive tablets are put at the disposal and prerecorded in five different languages: English, French, simplified and traditional Chinese, and Japanese - allowing to check entirely the preferences of the customers and to consult the information concerning the whole room, besides the WiFi and the calls towards the international.

The tablet includes:
  • The choice of the language
  • The floor service
  • The restaurant menu
  • The various services proposed by the hotel
  • The virtual visit of the city by "Pen Cities"
  • The valet parking
  • The on-demand television with WiFi internet
  •  the remote-controlled of rooms lights and their colors and the internal temperature of the room

The purpose is to make discover a new guest experience , where the customers can choose the way they wish to reach the services of the hotel. Indeed, nowadays the requirements of the customers do not stop increasing.

In my opinion, it is a wow concept because in this one, the hotel includes and uses the new tools and technologies to improve the guest service and to impress them. However in this kind of hotel, the receptionist's work becomes less interesting and important because the tablet includes already many services thus there is less direct contact between the customers and the hotel staff.

And you, what do you think about the Peninsula concept?

Bound for the business travelers or deprived, SnapCar allows to reserve taxis in 2 clicks, without any seizure thanks to the geo-localization of the passengers and the drivers.
